"Swami Vivekananda's Raja Yoga* and its relevance in the modern age of science" By Monk-Swami Atmapriyananda. Swami Atmapriyananda has been the Vice Chancellor of the Vivekananda University, in north Calcutta since 2005. Due to the emphasis on ‘gap areas’, it has been awarded full membership of ‘Global University Network for Innovation’ (GUNI), a global organization networking Universities with social commitment. Swami Atmapri- yananda received his Ph.D. from the University of Madras, India, in Theoretical Physics for his work in particle theory, and has contributed to a number of research publications. Inspired by Ramakrishna-Vivekananda ideology, he joined the Ramakrishna Order of monks in 1978 and was posted at a premier college of the Mission at Belur Math. There he taught Physics for nearly 25 years, and served as Principal before taking on the Vice Chancellor post.
